Time spent preparing detail drawings for disabled or special needs environments
is being significantly reduced with an upgraded facility from Total Hygiene.
The company, manufacturer of the brand-leading Clos-O-Mat automatic shower toilet, has added an option on its website whereby architects can simply point and click to download specification guidelines and CAD drawings of the individual Clos-O-Mat units, from the new Palma Vita to the height adjustable Lima Lift.
Robin Tuffley, Total Hygiene Marketing Manager, explains, “Everyone is busy in today’s working environment, and we all want to have tools that make our job easier. We know from experience that both specifiers and users are surprised at the size of the Clos-O-Mat: because it combines toileting, washing and drying in one unit, the expectation is that it will be larger than conventional toilets, but it is actually almost identical in dimensions! But there are elements, depending on which unit is specified, that will affect positioning and clearance in the room. It seemed logical to produce those specification considerations in an easy to access format, for specifiers to download and simply drop into their schematics.”
In addition to the CAD drawings, the site includes detail on specification of a unit, to ensure the correct electrical and water connections and optional user elements are incorporated into the design.
Adds Robin, “Having a Clos-O-Mat is for many users a major lifestyle decision, so it needs to be right. The more information specifiers and users can access, the better, so independence is preserved.”
