The company’s nationwide team of specially trained consultants and engineers have years of experience working with healthcare organisations and private individuals, so can advise on the most appropriate ‘tools’. The free service includes assessment of the most appropriate toileting equipment including utilisation and maximisation of available grant funding, and technical support from specification to installation. Once the equipment is installed, Total Hygiene engineers commission the unit. The support package incorporates regular servicing and maintenance options, and applies to Total Hygiene’s complete range, from Clos-O-Mat automatic shower toilets to accessories incorporating lifters, height adjustable basins, shower chairs, shower trolleys, body dryers and changing tables.
To further facilitate understanding of the options available, Total Hygiene has developed a mobile demonstration unit, so people can see at first hand how the different aids work.
Robin Tuffley, marketing manager, elaborates “Because we are dealing with very private issues on a daily basis, such as toileting, we know the considerations from all aspects- personal, physical, financial, and structural! We know what products are available. We know what medical, therapeutic and financial benefits are available in this sector, and can help people receive the support to which they are entitled, but may not know how to get, be they private individuals or commercial organisations. We can contribute towards optimising the whole process so independence, dignity and privacy is maintained as long as practically possible.”
