The company, which produces the top-selling Clos-o- Mat wash and dry toilet, and supplies a range of complimentary bathroom aids for the domestic and commercial environment, has just completed its triennial audit for its OHSAS18001 occupational health & safety management certification by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, the leading supplier of management system certification to international standards accreditation; Total Hygiene has attained a 100% compliance record in its latest audit, with no new areas to be addressed.
OHSAS18001 is an effective and robust occupational health and safety (OHS) management system designed to reduce, remove or control hazards and risks so to better safeguard the wellbeing of customers, employees and the business. The success of the audit follows on from the company’s attainment of ISO9001 Quality Standard and ISO14001 Environmental Standard across its sites.
Latest statistics show some 2.5million working days were lost in 2008/9 in the British manufacturing sector through workplace injury and work related ill health. Total Hygiene recorded zero days!
