Troubleshooting Guide
Symptom: Clos-o-Mat working
as conventional toilet only?
Are you aware of the correct operation?
Is there power to the Clos-o-Mat? i.e.
check switch on side of unit and switch on wall if appropriate. Check fuse or
circuit breaker if possible.
Symptom: Warm air blowing when
seat depressed?
Are you switching Clos-o-Mat on electrically and using it straight away? (3 - 5 minutes must be allowed for water to
heat to operating temperature).
Symptom: Clos-o-Mat not flushing?
Has water been turned off? - check isolating valve adjacent to unit.
Is water running in pan too fast to allow cistern to fill and
therefore unable to flush?
Symptom: Warm air not working?
Is the douche being allowed to run until the water is cold? -
warm air operates whilst water is heating ready for next
operation and will not therefore operate if water in cistern is
still warm.
Symptom: Water not clearing from pan?
Is the drain blocked? If the drain is blocked, a plumber should
be called to attend as we do not do this work. We only deal
with the mechanical and electrical parts of Clos-o-Mat.
Symptom: Unit leaking?
If the Clos-o-Mat is leaking from soil connection then installer
should be called in to investigate the cause.
Are you seated correctly over the douche spray to prevent
water spraying between seat and pan?
Symptom: Douche "spitting" and running dry?
Has cold water supply to unit been turned down at stop tap or isolating valve?
Symptom: Water too hot or too cold?
Engineer should attend.
Symptom: Pressure too strong or not strong enough?
Engineer should attend.
Symptom: Air temperature too hot or too cold?
Engineer should attend.
Symptom: Insufficient drying time?
Engineer should attend.
Symptom: Douche arm not retracting?
Engineer should attend.
